This course is designed to provide participants with the roles and functions of the MDS 3.0 in skilled nursing facilities. The concept of MDS 3.0 focuses on optimal improvement of the residents assessment physical, mental, psycho-social well-being while reporting quality of care & reimbursement

- Understanding the MDS/Care plan Coordinator roles and responsibilities
- Intro to Quality Measures & Five Star Rating System for SNF
Mastering Medicare Part A & Managed Care for Skilled Nursing Facilities
- Medicare Part A Basics
- Medicare Assessment Scheduling to Maximize Reimbursement
- Understanding Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) for Medicare/Managed Care Billing
- ICD-10 for PDPM
- Section GG for PDPM
Receive certification upon successfully completion of both courses.
- The training also includes a sample resume and tips on interviewing for positions.
We offer ongoing support to each student for one year post completion of the program.
Our program has worked for several nurses obtaining positions immediately following our training.

- Excellent for busy Clinician who are unable to meet the schedule requirements of the traditional program.

Each participant is required to attend all 20 hours scheduled and pass 2 exams with a 80% for successful completion of the program.
Two attempts of each exam will be allowed
Exam Schedules:
8 week Program -The first exam is issued throughout the program and the last exam after the last week of class.
4 day Accelerated Program- Both exams are due within three weeks of the last day of class
Accreditation: This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Midwest Multistate Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
20 Contact hours for this program. No partial credits will be awarded.
